The Egg-Rör Trail leads through snowy forests, wintery Beerenbach, and through a natural landscape that is home to a variety of wild animals. The Glarner Alps provide the imposing backdrop.
Descripción
The Egg-Rör Trail is Amden's all-weather trail. This snowshoe hike is easy to do even in windy conditions. It leads from the Arvenbüel over the frozen Beerenbach to the Egg. During the ascent, you will have the imposing Leistkamm directly before you.
It descends to Schwaderloch via Röhr. This area offers the ideal living conditions for wild animals that are also active in the winter. You may be surprised by an animal with a bit of luck and patience.
During the whole tour you will be regaled with an impressive view of the Glarus Alps. On the Egg-Röhr Trail you will also encounter the source of the Seerenbach Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Switzerland, which descends below the Arvenbüel in three stages over the cliff edge of the Walensee.
