We’ll visit places that have been—or still are—significant to Winterthur and its beer.
Winterthur is not only a city of workers and culture, but also a city of beer. Social issues, culture, and beer have surprisingly much in common in Winterthur. We’ll visit places that were—or still are—significant to Winterthur and its beer. The story spans from the first brewery on Obergasse to the still-visible and tangible legacy of the Haldengut Brewery, all the way to the current craft beer scene. But the focus will not only be on Winterthur, but also on the beverage itself and, above all, on enjoyment. During our walk through the old town, we will sample various beers and learn about their styles and the breweries behind them. Concept supported by: Winterthur Cultural Committee
