Duo Montana – from Baroque to Blues What happens when a classical cellist and a jazz clarinetist meet? What sounds like the beginning of a corny joke culminates, in the case of Duo Montana, in an exciting musical twist. For just as different as the musicians' roots are, so surprisingly does the repertoire of this unusual Ménage-à-deux present itself. Duo Montana brings wonderful music for good cheer and touching moments. The cello and the bass clarinet, two deep, warm, and carrying sound bodies, both solo and bass instruments; from this marriage arises a stunning and impressive sound image. The audience will hear well-known pieces by A. Vivaldi, C. Ph. E. Bach, and L. Armstrong, as well as a musical delight from the realms of Romanticism, tango, blues, and salon music. Let yourself be surprised by the uniqueness of this special duo! The musical crossover from Baroque to Jazz is garnished by Duo Montana with warm sound bodies and their sensitive interplay. A rare treat for the ears! Daniela and Lukas Roos are professional musicians and have performed worldwide. In addition to their great passion for chamber music, Daniela Roos, cello, plays in renowned Swiss orchestras such as the Swiss Orchestra and the Camerata Switzerland Symphony Orchestra and is active with the Trio Sorriso (café music) and the Duo Escarlata (cello and accordion). Lukas Roos, clarinet and bass clarinet, who also plays in the Trio Sorriso, is very successful with his jazz trio "streeo" throughout Switzerland and Europe. He is also a sought-after chamber musician and soloist in both jazz and classical genres. www.duomontana.ch Daniela Roos, cello & Lukas Roos, clarinet
