Concert: Summer Solstice of Sounds | “Sound Bridges between Generations” with Leopold Mozart’s Children’s Symphony and further surprises

On Saturday, 20 June 2026, at 7:00 p.m., the Associazione MUSICA al CUORE invites you to a special concert evening in the church of Madonna del Sasso in Orselina. Under the title “Concerto per il Solstizio estivo”, a summer concert for the solstice will unfold – with music full of lightness, imagination and surprise.

At the heart of the programme is Leopold Mozart’s famous “Sinfonia dei giocattoli”, the so-called Children’s Symphony. Leopold Mozart, the father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, was himself an important musician, composer and pedagogue. The work will be performed by Orchestra Clara – a special ensemble of children and professional musicians. In this way, the idea of the work becomes immediately tangible: classical music meets playful sound colours, cuckoo, drum, rattle, small whistles and other sound objects. The result is a humorous, poetic dialogue between generations – music that speaks to children and adults alike.

The programme will be complemented by the Schlittenfahrt, music by Antonio Vivaldi, a concerto for violoncello and further musical surprises. The evening will thus become a lively celebration of sound – joyful, accessible and at the same time artistically sophisticated.

A special highlight is the solo debut of the eight-year-old cellist Francesco Mandozzi with a cello concerto by Antonio Vivaldi. In this way, the idea of this special concert evening becomes movingly tangible: music connects generations.

The performers include Orchestra Clara, consisting of former pupils of Suor Clara Lainati, as well as Stefano Moccetti on guitar, Oliviero Giovannoni on percussion, Orfeo Mandozzi on cello and many other local artists: Daria Zappa, Vladimiro Cavadini, Oliviero Giovannoni, Sven Maier, Anna & Francesco & Orfeo Mandozzi, Stefano Moccetti, Anita Pyron, Gioele Widmer, Karin & Veio Zanolini, Liam Berdonini.

The concert follows the idea of MUSICA al CUORE: to create music as a shared experience that connects people – open to all generations, accessible to a broad audience and carried by high artistic quality.
