Coppa Froda

The coppa froda is a running race that takes place from Cavergno to Foroglio over a distance of approx. 6 km. The race is divided into categories for adults, youths and children and also features a popular non-competitive walk.

A running competition for the whole family in the green Bavona Valley, with finish line under the majestic Foroglio waterfall. After the race, the program continues with a maccheroni lunch for athletes and viewers, and ends with the award ceremony in the early afternoon. The day offers and ideal combination of sport and family out in the open.

When: every year, the 1st August

Where: between Cavergno and Foroglio, Maggia Valley.

Starts from Cavergno at 9:30 (Adults: inscription CHF 20.00), from Fontana at 10:30 (Teens: inscription CHF 15.00 Included in the Coppa Ticino schedule), from Ritorto at 11:10 (Children: inscription free), from Gerre at 11:30 (Toddlers: inscription free).

Start of the group walk from Cavergno at 8:45 (no inscription).

Lunch in Foroglio. In case of rain, the competition will happen regularly, and the lunch will take place in Bignasco, by the FART building. We invite the participants to use the shuttle bus between Cavergno and Foroglio.
