Introdução

The first international tennis tournament was held in Gstaad in 1915.

The first international tennis tournament was held in Gstaad in 1915. Since then, many big names in the traditional sport have found their way to the Bernese Oberland: Stefan Edberg, Ilie Nastase, Tony Roche, Rod Laver, Boris Becker, Yannick Noah, Jim Courier and Roger Federer, who won the tournament in 2004, for example. The record holder for the number of titles at Gstaad is Australian Roy Emerson with five trophies.

The first edition of the tournament took place on the tennis courts near the Gstaad Palace. The tournament later moved to its current location in the center of the village. In 2015, Switzerland's oldest tournament celebrated its 100th anniversary.

The EFG Swiss Open Gstaad will also enter a new round in 2026.

Advance sales for the tournament are expected to start at the beginning of 2026. As soon as the exact dates are known, you will find them here.
