Born in Milan in 1967, Alessio Corti studied piano, organ and harpsichord with internationally renowned organists, in particular for three years with Lionel Rogg at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Genève. He won several first prizes and became titular organist of Santa Maria Segreta in Milan in 1983, where he performed the complete works of Buxtehude at the age of 18 and those of J. S. Bach a year later. His discography comprises around 30 CDs, including the complete recording of Bach's organ works. In addition to regular appearances at international organ festivals, he is a professor of organ and improvisation at the Haute école de musique de Genève. He previously taught at the conservatories of Undine and Verona.
