Formed in 2018 around the singer and multi-instrumentalist Flora Ageron, the quartet breaks down the boundaries of the classical repertoire to breathe new life into pieces that have sometimes fallen into oblivion. Through a deliberately eclectic repertoire, the musicians collaborate with sometimes surprising figures, from Isabella Leonarda to Ariel Ramírez, and allow a style of music that is both free-spirited and melancholic to emerge. In taking the audience on a journey through the centuries, Espuma Antigua invites listeners to (re)discover the full poetry of early music.
