Format Mondial – Illustration & BD

This summer, fifteen artists from Fribourg are transforming public spaces to explore the concept of “natural intelligence”.The outdoor exhibition Format Mondial returns in 2026 with an edition dedicated to the theme of “natural intelligence”. Fifteen illustrators and comic authors from the canton of Fribourg will present their creations in public spaces, inviting passers-by to take a sensitive and critical look at our relationship with the living world, creativity, and technology. A collaboration between the City of Fribourg, the City of Bulle, the Musée de Morat, and the Cantonal and University Library (BCU), the exhibition can be discovered in Fribourg from 27 July to 23 August 2026, then in Bulle (17 September - 18 October) and in Morat (27 October - 13 December). A round table entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Graphic Creation” will also take place on 1 October at 18:30, initiated by the BCU.In Fribourg, a pathway allows visitors to discover the fifteen artworks scattered throughout the city.
