Themed Guided Tour - Switzerland and Colonialism
Visão geral
Introdução
Building on the knowledge gained during the temporary exhibition *Colonialism*.
Building on the knowledge gained from the temporary exhibition *Colonialism: Switzerland’s Involvement*, we have revamped our permanent exhibitions to create a visitor journey that explores its themes through the objects on display at the Château. Thus, as visitors move through the exhibitions *Noblesse Oblige! Life at the Château in the 18th Century*, *Indiennes. “Indiennes: A Fabric That Conquered the World,” and “Switzerland: What Is It?”, the tour explores Switzerland’s involvement in slavery, the Atlantic slave trade, mercenary activities, Eurocentrism, and racism, as well as the ongoing repercussions of this past.
