The Moneto Bike Challenge is an uphill community cycling event open to all bike enthusiasts, with or without a racing licence, set in the beautiful surroundings of Moneto in the Centovalli region.
The Moneto Bike Challenge is an uphill community cycling event open to all bike enthusiasts, with or without a racing licence, set in the beautiful surroundings of Moneto in the Centovalli region. The route starts at the bridge over the Melezza river at 500 metres above sea level and finishes at Piazzale Forcola at 1,020 metres, covering around 5 kilometres with gradients ranging from 9% to 13%. It is a short but demanding climb, designed for riders who enjoy cycling, mountain scenery and genuine sporting challenges.
The event aims to highlight the local area while offering a well-organised, accessible and enjoyable sporting experience. The climb takes place under safe conditions, with the road closed to traffic, helmets mandatory and support available along the route. After the ride, the Base Camp in Pian da la Cà will welcome riders, families and supporters with refreshments, an aperitif, barbecue and music, turning the day into a celebration of cycling, friendship and shared passion.
