Words and Stories of the Moon
Visão geral
Introdução
with Eric Bouchet
The Moon is a fascinating celestial body whose vital importance humanity has always suspected, but which modern science and space exploration are only gradually revealing. To better understand this deep and age-old connection with the celestial body that lights our nights, science communicator Eric Bouchet invites you on a journey through the words of the French language and the celestial legends associated with our natural satellite. In the form of a planetarium session, we will “read” the evening sky (seasonal constellations and planets), where the Moon takes center stage, and then we will observe it directly using small astronomical instruments. With a Ph.D. in applied physics, Eric Bouchet has devoted nearly 20 years to science outreach at two astronomical observatories, including the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory in Saint-Luc. Passionate about astronomy since childhood, he works to bridge the gap between science and the general public. Now a teacher and wildlife photographer, he continues this mission of sharing knowledge through the life sciences and photography.
