Raisinée festival and craft market
Visão geral
Introdução
The Association les Z'amis de St-Cergue organizes the Raisinée festival. A fall festival open to all.
Raisinée – also known as ‘vin cuit’ – is the result of a very ancient practice, a sort of culinary alchemy: in autumn, pear or apple juice is simmered in large pots over a wood fire for several hours. This produces a concentrated juice which was once used as a substitute for sugar. Today, it is served with vanilla ice cream, meringues and crêpes, or used to make delicious pastries such as the famous raisinée tart.
From 10am: covered craft market, hot food, and various entertainment for all ages. Plus, on Sundays: alphorns and the La Foulée Folklorique folk dance group.
