Introdução
The Fête de l'asperge will take place in Saillon on Saturday, May 2, from 10:00 to 18:00.
Spring marks the return of the Fête de l'asperge to Saillon. A gourmet, festive day devoted entirely to local produce will be held at the school center, in a convivial atmosphere open to all.
Program for the day (10am to 6pm)
A local market featuring Saillon asparagus, as well as a variety of local and artisanal products. Children's entertainment will include bouncy castles and Mother's Day-themed floral craft workshops.
New for 2026
Culinary workshops on asparagus will be organized in collaboration with Nutrition Valais (11am, 1:30pm and 3:45pm). Tours of the asparagus plantations will also be offered on the little train (10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.).
Please register via the online ticketing service. Price: CHF 10 per person (reduced rate for children).
Catering and tasting
The Caveau de Saillon will be offering an aperitif, accompanied by "Petit Valaisan" planks. The brass band will be at the bar.
On-site catering will include asparagus dishes, raclettes and other local specialties, with the participation of chef Andrea Maugeri (Nouvo Bourg), Le Rodeur and Pizzeria Caractère.
Musical atmosphere
The morning will kick off with an aubade by the Avant-Garde, followed by the La Grande Garde brass band (10:30 to 11:30 a.m.). Musical entertainment will be provided by Mike le Troubadour from 12pm to 6pm.
Access and parking
The event will take place in the courtyard of the Saillon school. Several free parking lots are available nearby: Place Farinet, Bains de Saillon, Chemin des Écoliers, Envol, Place des Tilleuls and Place des Moilles.
By public transport, get off at the "Saillon Collombeyres" stop, then walk about 3 minutes.
