Introdução

From April 20th to June 12th 2026, the Municipality of Val Mara will host a solo exhibition by Yuri Catania in the interior spaces of the Town Hall.

The exhibition illustrates how the Val Mara area, and in particular Rovio (where the artist lives and works at CasaGalleria.ART), has become a deeply felt daily reality. Through his lens and sensibility, Catania experiences the beauty of the surrounding landscape and then translates it into his works, with the aim of spreading this wonder far beyond the local borders.

The exhibition retraces the stages of this visual narrative: from nighttime photographs of garden flowers taken with a flashlight, to melancholic black-and-white visions of Monte Generoso, to the acrylic and oil overpainting. A brand new addition to the exhibition is the presentation of "New Eva 2029," the first bronze sculpture created in collaboration with Fonderia Perseo. Thanks to the integration of Augmented Reality and ultraviolet lighting, visitors will discover multiple levels of interpretation in each work, suspended between the real and the digital.
