简介

The Grand Combin de Valsorey is part of the Grand Combin massif, which really lives up to its nickname: the “Himalaya of Switzerland”. That’s because the mountain massif is surrounded by thick glacial layers.

Grand Combin de Valsorey (4,184m a.s.l.) 一览

The Grand Combin massif is nestled in the western Valais Alps. One of the three main summits is the Grand Combin de Valsorey, at 4,184 metres above sea level. The whole mountain massif is encased in huge glacial layers, from which it gets its nickname of the “Swiss Himalaya”. Regrettably, the mountain poses risks for those who attempt to climb it, due to regular ice avalanches. It is also popular among ski tourers, as well as being a popular part of the Haute Route, which leads from Chamonix to Zermatt.

Climbing four-thousander summits requires good physical health, meticulous preparation and technical skills in mountain sports. We recommend booking a mountain guide. Switzerland Tourism accepts no liability in this case.
