The OBQ was founded in 2022. It is a classical brass quintet consisting of two trumpets, a French horn, a trombone, and a bass trombone. The five professional musicians from Oberwallis, Georges Martig and Tobias Salzgeber (trumpet), Marcial Holzer (French horn), Patrik Forny (trombone), and Benjamin Minnig (bass trombone), are passionately dedicated to chamber music for brass instruments. It is an important concern for them to present exciting and varied concerts to an interested audience. The Oberwallis Brass Quintet has already captivated audiences in a short time with its two programs "Venetian Interludes" and "Contrasts."
The repertoire of the OBQ is very diverse, ranging from early music to modern original compositions to light entertainment pieces.
