Basler Wienachtsdorf am Theaterplatz
概览
简介
With around 40 huts, regional and international specialties, crafts, a cultural program, and cozy gathering spots, the Basel Christmas Village invites visitors to explore and enjoy the winter season.
The Basel Christmas Village is a new addition to Basel’s Christmas tradition—and invites you to discover a small, wintry village right in the heart of the city. A gathering place for residents, Basel locals, and visitors from near and far.
Around 40 huts are waiting to be discovered: featuring carefully selected designs and crafts by local exhibitors, along with regional and international specialties, winter drinks, and appetizers.
Spanning several levels, the Wienachtsdorf combines a diverse market selection and cultural program with various public spaces. From Theaterplatz to Elisabethenkirche and Pyramidenplatz, from the Kunsthalle to the Historical Museum, a sprawling, wintery setting takes shape right in the heart of Basel. In the Cheminée Stube on Pyramidenplatz, guests can warm up, enjoy a drink, and have a light snack.
Cozy nooks and weather-protected spots invite you to linger, while lovingly designed children’s areas make the Wienachtsdorf a wonderful destination for families as well. A place to explore, enjoy, and spend time together—perfect for getting together with friends and family.
