Which insect saves Middle-earth? And what is actually true about this story? How much has Hollywood copied from insects - and where does the realm of insects even surpass the movie world?
Animal filmmaker Bähram Alagheband (who is responsible for insects at SRF and was the host of the series "Krabbeltiere") and biologist Katrin Luder sat down in a movie theater and put blockbusters through their paces. Together they deliver a multimedia show peppered with blockbuster movie scenes, fact checks and Bähram's gripping insect pictures. From horror to romance, the audience is offered everything the insect kingdom has to offer.
Katrin and Bähram have been traveling as the duo Käfer & kundig for several years: every year they spend several weeks out in nature in search of weird insects. They almost always stay in Switzerland and find exciting stories on our doorstep, which they tell on stage with fascinating videos and photos. Their focus is on entertainment, which is why the two have long since left dusty lecture halls behind them and bring their knowledge to the people with charm and humor.
