Clusters, Clouds, and Caves
Monika Müller’s new works revolve around clouds and caves. The gaze opens up to the sky or feels its way from darkness into light. The large-format cloud series is based on photographs and depicts the wisps, shreds, and towers in the pure dynamics of condensation and dissipation. In the “Caves” series, the viewer looks out from a sheltered interior toward the open air, toward a dazzling light that both attracts and blinds them. Graphite dust applied layer by layer creates density, depth, and a sense of space with a minimal amount of material.
The artist talk will be moderated by Fanni Fetzer, director of the Kunstmuseum Luzern. It will take place on Tuesday, December 15, at 7 p.m.
