Text: Philippe Soltermann, Mali Van ValenbergCast: Philippe Soltermann, Mali Van Valenberg, Antonio TroiloDirected by: Philippe SoltermannLighting: Romain Cottier *Mauvaise Herbe* plunges us into the heart of a thriving community garden. At first, a community garden is a utopia: a space for sharing, meeting, and cooperation. A place where the earth would bring people together, where everyone would cultivate both vegetables and social bonds. But very quickly, reality sets in. The garden becomes a microcosm of the world: differences in opinion, pace, method, and ego mingle with goodwill. Among those who frequent this garden, a couple of newcomers seek to rediscover a shared sense of purpose. And then there is the veteran, a fixture of the place, who has been alone for a long time and cannot help but offer advice and commentary. Behind the simple gestures of daily life, *Mauvaise Herbe* explores our relationship to community, power, and difference. Everyday conflicts coexist with acts of solidarity, revealing the contradictions, fragilities, and beauty of human connections. As the seasons pass, the characters learn to weed not only their plot of land but also their own lives.
