Every two years, the countryside invades the town of Morges for one night!
Every two years, at harvest time, the town of Morges descends into a flamboyant chaos! The Night of the Scarecrows is the backdrop for a crazy, magical, solemn, boisterous and artistic festival!
The countryside invades the town and parades through the streets, the winegrowers are celebrated, the drums make the hullabaloo and the Commandos Percu take the crowd into their percussive and pyrotechnical universe of a now legendary and world-famous fairy tale. The giant scarecrow will end up burning to the cheers of the plebs!
On 26 September 2026, the 15th Night of the Scarecrows will be celebrated in a city in frenzy.
The procession, composed of numerous floats, will leave Denens to stop at Chigny, where 4 hours of food concocted by the Paysannes vaudoises will be offered to the population. The procession will then go down to Morges, parade through the streets and go to the Place des Fêtes to make way for the crowning ceremony of the King of the Winegrowers. The festival will continue with a magnificent fireworks show that will end with the setting on fire of the King of the Scarecrows.
