The ancestral castle of a world power
概览
简介
Public guided tour on the rise of the Habsburgs.
This tour of the tower and ruins of Habsburg Castle gives visitors an insight into a piece of world history: What began as a simple stone house belonging to a local nobleman had developed into a monumental double castle by 1100.
Shortly after the Habsburgs had also extended the rear castle with the tower that still stands today, they left their ancestral seat to rise to become one of the most powerful ruling families in Europe.
