Walter Lietha – That's Why I'm Singing About It
概览
简介
In the 1970s, the Graubünden singer Walter Lietha was one of the leading figures on the Swiss music scene, and with his poetic, sometimes socially critical songs, he became the voice of a generation.
But in the early 1980s, that voice largely fell silent in the public sphere. In August 2025, the 75-year-old Graubünden bard was honored at the “Alpentöne” music festival with a concert featuring Corin Curschellas, the initiator of the tribute, as well as Sophie Hunger, Stephan Eicher, Michael von der Heide, and the Narrenschiffband. What has become of Walter Lietha, his utopias, and his songs?
Director: Stefan Haupt (Germany/2026), Germany, ages 8 and up, 73 min.
