On the Susten Pass, one of the most beautiful mountain passes, lies the Alpine Center Susten Pass (Bernese Oberland, Switzerland), which is open from May to October.
The Hotel Steingletscher with 50 beds offers the comfort of a mountain hotel (depending on the room: 1-3 stars). All rooms are equipped with shower / WC and some with TV. They have a homely atmosphere, with a lot of spruce wood. The bright dining room and the historic "Sustenstube" room invite to dinner, the beautiful large terrace with fantastic panoramic awaits you outside.
The Steinalp Lodge next door provides the Swiss Alpine Club "hut feeling". The comfortable lounge with fireplace is an ideal meeting place.
We are the starting point for many beautiful mountaineering tours such as to the Susten- and Gwächtenhorn. The Glacier Learning Trail Steinalp leads you into the millions of years old history of the earth and forward on the historic trail to Wassen and Innertkirchen. Many climbing gardens and the Steingletscher (glacier) are the ideal training spots for alpine sports.
