The extensive renovation on this hotel in the centre of Flühli, steeped in history spanning 130 years, has done it a world of good: various room categories from simple to sophisticated, contemporary comfort that is in harmony with the past, and quite deliberately without a television in sight. Romantic lounges, a library, the sunny wooden veranda and a garden with babbling fountains. It’s the ideal base for excursions to the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch.
In the middle of the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch is the historic FLÜHLI Hotel Kurhaus from 1899 with its 29 rooms. In the years 2020-2021 the hotel was extensively refurbished, renovated and restored and has shone in new splendor since its reopening in December 2021. The renovation has added many amenities to the hotel. Certain elements of modernity - such as televisions in the rooms - were deliberately left out. The publicly accessible restaurant, with its original dining room, spoils its guests with authentic specialties from Swiss cuisine. In summer, the garden terrace with its chestnut trees and the veranda are impressive. The Kursaal offers space for up to 120 guests, which is also where hotel guests are spoiled with culinary delights every day for breakfast and dinner. Not to be forgotten is the seminar room for up to 50 people.

Swiss Historic Hotel
The romantic building dating back to 1899 has truly been awakened from a long, deep slumber. After careful and considered renovation, it reopened in late 2021 with a brilliant new look that nonetheless retains its great nostalgic charm. Authentic elements, historical details and the friendly atmosphere return this establishment to its former position as a jewel of the hotel industry. From large, modern, deluxe penthouse suites with original balconies to small but beautiful nostalgic rooms.

The historic, romantic sanatorium built in 1899 was carefully renovated in 2021 in a way that perfectly aligns the charm of yesteryear with modern standards. Cosy wooden panelling, exquisite parquet floors, guest lounges with antique furniture and loving details create a nostalgic flair. An active decision was taken not to have TVs in the hotel, with the quiet library offering plenty of reading material and inspiration. The secluded garden and large veranda invite you to spend time with your thoughts outdoors.

This romantic hotel with 29 rooms, dating back to 1899, has recently undergone a high-grade renovation and exudes an air of stylish nostalgia, even in its state-of-the-art seminar rooms, which can accommodate up to 120 people. Charming outdoor areas such as the garden with its babbling fountain and the veranda lend themselves to creative outdoor workshops. Personal consultation. Regional, refined cuisine, restaurant with tiled stove. Team events such as Kneipp therapy, llama trekking, cave tours, and hikes in the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch.

Arriving by car - already an experience!
From Lucerne or Bern you can reach us in just one hour's drive. Both routes take you through picturesque landscapes. Via Lucerne you drive through the entire region of the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch, from Bern you experience a great drive through the famous Emmental with its large historic farms.
Parking is available free of charge at the hotel.
Arrival by train & bus:
Take the train to Schüpfheim (LU) and from there the bus in the direction of Sörenberg (No. B241). After 9 minutes you reach the bus station FLÜHLI POST - your final stop, you are now standing directly in front of the FLÜHLI Hotel Kurhaus.
