Intro

The extensive renovation on this hotel in the centre of Flühli, steeped in history spanning 130 years, has done it a world of good: various room categories from simple to sophisticated, contemporary comfort that is in harmony with the past, and quite deliberately without a television in sight. Romantic lounges, a library, the sunny wooden veranda and a garden with babbling fountains. It’s the ideal base for excursions to the UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch.

Description

The hotel has gained many amenities as a result of the renovation. However, certain modern elements - such as televisions in the rooms - were deliberately left out in order to preserve the historic character of the hotel.

Flühli is the ideal starting point for various bike tours and can be easily reached by car or public transport in just under an hour from Bern and 50 minutes from Lucerne.

In the evening, we spoil you with regional cuisine in our original dining room or, in fine weather, on the veranda with adjoining garden restaurant under our chestnut trees.

The romantic building dating back to 1899 has truly been awakened from a long, deep slumber. After careful and considered renovation, it reopened in late 2021 with a brilliant new look that nonetheless retains its great nostalgic charm. Authentic elements, historical details and the friendly atmosphere return this establishment to its former position as a jewel of the hotel industry. From large, modern, deluxe penthouse suites with original balconies to small but beautiful nostalgic rooms.

The historic, romantic sanatorium built in 1899 was carefully renovated in 2021 in a way that perfectly aligns the charm of yesteryear with modern standards. Cosy wooden panelling, exquisite parquet floors, guest lounges with antique furniture and loving details create a nostalgic flair. An active decision was taken not to have TVs in the hotel, with the quiet library offering plenty of reading material and inspiration. The secluded garden and large veranda invite you to spend time with your thoughts outdoors.
