Intro
Tannbüel, near Bargen, is home to one of the most important and best-known nature reserves in the Randen region. In May and June, the flowering ‘Frauenschüeli’ (a species of orchid) transform the area into a fascinating natural spectacle.
Tannbüel, an attractive nature reserve of national importance, well known as home to over twenty species of orchid, the leader of which undoubtedly the Lady’s slipper. Hundreds blossom year after year in the narrow reserve, attracting guests by the dozen. In addition to this so-called protagonist, you also discover other species such as Yellow Gentian, Helm-Orchis (also known as military orchid) and the Moosorchis that contribute to great biodiversity.
