Camilla Sparksss was born when it was -27 degrees in Kenora, deep in the heart of Ontario. Her father flew a seaplane, and as a child, she had a bear as a pet. Yes, really. You don’t come out of a childhood like that unscathed—and that’s a good thing for us. A Swiss-Canadian musician and visual artist, and co-founder of the post-punk band Peter Kernel, Camilla Sparksss crafts a no-holds-barred, noise-infused electro-pop sound as a solo artist: massive beats pressed onto dubplates, synths as thick as a Canadian winter night, and a voice that cuts right through. On stage, she’s a burst of raw, physical energy—a concert experienced with the body as much as with the ears. Come feel the full force of the storm. And rest assured, it won’t be -27 in the venue. Vouipe Vouipe is a Swiss-based electronic music duo founded by cousins Dimitri Güdemann and Philippe Güdemann. The project combines contemporary electronic productions, acoustic drums, and outdoor field recordings (field recordings). Both on stage and in the studio, Dimitri uses Ableton Live and his controllers to integrate his field recordings and play the didgeridoo, fujara, and handpan live, while Philippe handles the drums.
