Three Generations on the Watch For his magnificently filmed documentary "The Whispering of the Forests," wildlife photographer Vincent Munier reflects with his father and his son on the endangered biodiversity of the Vosges. With patience, respect, and impressive nature shots, the film tells of the deep connection between humans, animals, and forests.
Together, the three follow the trails of foxes, deer, lynxes, wildcats, owls, and the rare capercaillie. This creates a calm, poetic film about the passing on of a connection to nature across three generations and about mankind's responsibility towards the forest. All animal footage was recorded without staged scenes, drones, or tamed animals. An impressive cinematic experience that invites wonder, reflection, and attentive listening.
