Intro
Aloïse
Aloïse Liliane de Kermadec, 1975, France, 120', French version. Set photographer for Varda and Resnais, Liliane de Kermadec creates a portrait of the Swiss artist Aloïse Corbaz (1886–1964), who spent the last 46 years of her life institutionalized for schizophrenia, and whose works were included in Jean Dubuffet’s art brut collection. Isabelle Huppert and Delphine Seyrig embody, at two different ages, the complexity of a figure defined by stifled desires. Admission: 10.-
