A humorous play about freedom and self-discovery from the age of 8.
Two circus artists meet on stage and whisk the audience away into a world full of acrobatics, dance, onomatopoeia, music, noise and nonsense. They float through the air, transform themselves into strange figures and play with gravity while normal life takes a break.
In Swiss German, "Gugus" means both "hello" and "nonsense" - and that's exactly what it's all about: moments without purpose that are simply fun. GUGUS! is inspired by "Dada" - a crazy art in which the artists mix everything up to show that the world sometimes makes no sense. GUGUS! invites you to leave the pressure to perform and self-optimization behind and rediscover the joy of the absurd.
Rebecca Weingartner, known for her sensitive examination of social issues, also creates a space with GUGUS! in which both young and adult audiences are welcome to let go and join in.
