Intro

Staffelbacher Sandstein wurde über Jahrhunderte abgebaut. Im Museum zeigen Foto- und Filmaufnahmen die Abbautechnik der Steinbrecher. In der Steinhauerhütte können fossile Haizähne gesucht werden.

Staffelbacher Sandstein wurde über Jahrhunderte als Baustoff im Kanton Aargau und in den umliegenden Regionen verwendet. Im Museum zeigen historische Foto- und Filmaufnahmen, wie Sandstein abgebaut wurde. Daneben werden fossile Funde aus dem Staffelbach-Grobsandstein gezeigt.

In der Steinhauerhütte stehen Sand und Siebe bereit, um selber aktiv nach fossilen Haizähnen zu suchen.
