Prätschli-Obersee-Schlittelbahn
Overview
Intro
High above the roofs of Arosa, this short sledging trail leads first rather flat, then swiftly back to Lake Obersee. It’s the perfect trail for anyone who wants to go sledging time after time again.
Description
The sledging trail from Prätschli to Lake Obersee is the perfect alternate programme to skiing in Arosa. Thanks to the free of charge bus, the short trail back to the village can be ridden as often as you wish to.
At the start, the valley is wide open, the Prätschli lays on the edge of a wood and offers a nice panoramic view onto the mountain scenery of Arosa, Davos and Lenzerheide. The first part, which is rather flat, is the perfect start to get to know your sledge and how to steer it.
In a rather steep descent, the sledging trail leads into the light forest. It passes various sharp bends and crosses the ski slope in Scheitenböden. In a wide turn, the finish at the Arosa railway station will be reached. Right next to the station, you will see Lake Obersee which invites you for a leisurely walk.
An enjoyable tour includes the careful planning of the same. Please inform yourself in advance at the local information center about the route and weather conditions. Depending on the season and weather conditions, this route may be blocked or interrupted
