On Thurgau’s first marble run trail, the "Rugelreise", families can enjoy twelve marble runs in the idyllic Murg Valley. You can take the train from Frauenfeld to the Matzingen weaving mill, or vice versa. The walk leads back to the starting point along a variety of marble runs and the River Murg.
The "Rugelreise" follows Thurgau’s first marble run trail through the idyllic Murg Valley between Frauenfeld and Matzingen. Along the route there are twelve uniquely designed marble runs, crafted by local carpenters, where you can set the marble rolling. The route runs alongside the River Murg and can be walked in either direction. Participants decide for themselves how many tracks they want to explore and how far they wish to go. The connection between the towns can be made using the regional train service, which makes the route flexible.
