What to experience

Aerospace Hall (45–60 minutes)

In the aerospace hall you can get closer to the dream of flying. Countless planes and helicopters hang here in the room. You can marvel at rocket models and astronaut technology and discover a Martian landscape with original rovers. In front of the hall there is a DC-3 and the legendary Coronado of the Swissair that you can board.

  • Good to know: For the flight simulator, children must be at least 1.40 meters tall.
  • Tip: Buy tickets online in advance to avoid waiting times.

Planetarium (30–45 minutes)

In Switzerland's most modern large planetarium, you can travel through the universe thanks to 360-degree projections. Image and 3D surround sound make stars and planets tangible up close. The Plani4Kids shows are specifically aimed at children aged 5 and over. In addition, there are exciting live shows and cultural events.

  • Good to know: The planetarium is barrier-free.
  • Tip: It is worth booking early for popular shows on weekends.

Movie theatre (40–50 minutes)

Experience cinema on the largest screen in Switzerland: In the film theatre of the Museum of Transport in Lucerne, exciting 3D documentaries on nature, technology and science await you. In addition, the theatre shows live broadcasts of operas, concerts and special events.

  • Good to know: You will receive the glasses for the 3D demonstrations on site.
  • Tip: Observe age ratings: Some films are for ages 6 and up, others for ages 12 and up.
