This four-star family hotel is located right in the middle of car-free Zermatt. It has 23 light and very cosy rooms that offer a perfect blend of style and charm. Some also have views of the Matterhorn. The restaurants of its sister Julen and Alpenhof hotels offer a fusion of international cuisine and local dishes. A hearty breakfast is included. Wellness area with jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna. Free WiFi throughout the building.
Hotel Daniela may be small, but it has a lot to offer. Situated just 10 minutes away from the mountain lifts and the train station in a quiet location, the 23 renovated single, double and family rooms are all equipped with their own bathroom/WC, minibar, telephone, radio, WLAN, cable TV and safe. The bathrooms all have a hairdryer, free cosmetic articles and bathrobes, free of charge. The generous breakfast buffet will set you up for an exciting day. Dine Around: Half-board guests can choose to have their evening meal either at Romantik Hotel Julen or at Hotel Alpenhof, where delicious 5-course selection menus are served. Wellness Around: Guests staying at Hotel Daniela have free entry to the Julen SPA at Romantik Hotel Julen or the Alpenhof SPA at Hotel Alpenhof. Every Wednesday during the high season the family run business offers you a free visit to their herd of black nose sheep.

Zermatt - the village without cars
The picturesque mountain village at the foot of the Matterhorn has become one of the most important summer and winter holiday destinations. Zermatt is car-free - no motor vehicles are permitted. Horse-drawn sleighs and carriages, electric vehicles and bicycles are the only mode of transport allowed.
This makes Zermatt an ideal place for relaxing and peaceful holidays.
Location
Zermatt is at an altitude of 1600m. It is located at the foot of the Matterhorn in the Valais Alps, in the South of Switzerland.
Travel from Visp through the Visper-Valley, on which end you’ll find Zermatt. In the mountains of Zermatt you will find 38 of the 76 european "four thousanders". The skiing area stretches from Theodol-Col (3300m) and Testa Grigia (3480m) to Cervinia in Italy.
