Intro
The Arc Jurassien Regional Nature Parks' "Lakes & Forests" pleasure trail takes you on a four-day journey from Couvet to Geneva, exploring valleys and glens to discover centuries-old crafts.
Your journey begins in the Val-de-Travers, whose famous absinthe is exported as far as the trendy bars of New York. From there, you spend a night in Ste-Croix, where the Museum of Music Boxes and Automata transports you to a wondrous and unusual world. You then arrive in the Vallée de Joux—in the heart of the Jura Vaudois Park—where many watchmaking brands still have their workshops. Every year, farmers spend the summer in their alpine pastures amid the wooded meadows, producing delicious alpine cheese that you can sample. You spend another night in the wine-growing region of La Côte before heading to Geneva, the international capital of haute horlogerie.
