Seelisberg at a glance
Lake Seelisberg – often simply called the "Seeli" – is about 800 m long and 37 m deep. The water can reach temperatures of up to 24°C in summer, warmer than Lake Lucerne which is 400m below it. Bathing is only permitted in the beach zone located at the northern end of the lake. Sports facilities, boats for hire, kiosk and campsite available.
Directly accessible by post bus from Stans and by car from the A2, ‘Beckenried Süd’ exit.
