Nadelhorn (4,327 m a.s.l.)
Hint
Intro
This striking four-thousander with an easily recognisable peak is part of the Mischabel group. The Nadelhorn is a comparably simpler four-thousander summit.
Nadelhorn (4,327 m a.s.l.) at a glance
Surrounded by three imposing glaciers – specifically the Hobärg Glacier, the Hohbalm Glacier and the Ried Glacier – the Nadelhorn is part of the Mischabel group. Right at the top of the mountain, space can get a little tight, as the Nadelhorn’s summit at 4,327 metres up only has enough room for just a few mountaineers at a time. Nonetheless, this four-thousander is popular among mountain climbers. The ascents are not particularly difficult, and the Mischabel Hut and Bordier Hut both make for excellent starting points.
