Bô Noël Lausanne - Christmas Markets

A series of original events will punctuate the festive period. The “Opening Banquet” (reservation required), scheduled for 22 November, will kick off the event with a grand Christmas parade followed by a gourmet feast. The “Grande Raisinée”, organised on 12 and 13 December by the Tartegnin winegrowers, will offer a convivial opportunity to enjoy this regional speciality, while the “Samedis en fêtes” will liven up the Rue Centrale with musical performances, light shows and poetry walks. Another not-to-be-missed event at Bô Noël is the Silent Disco on New Year's Eve.Organised by the Services industriels de Lausanne (SiL), a poetic journey of light and dreams will take visitors through the various Bô Noël markets, discovering eight works of light created by local and international artists. From the Tour Bel-Air to the Cathedral, via the Rue de Bourg, the Place de la Louve, the Escaliers-du-Marché or the Pont Bessières, each installation will invite visitors to rediscover the urban landscape in a new light. With colourful lanterns, animated frescoes, starry carpet and spectacular projections, this route will amaze young and old alike.For this 11th edition, Bô Noël Lausanne is taking over various emblematic venues in the city centre, each offering a unique atmosphere and activities.• In the Place de la Cathédrale: Children's Village (meet Father Christmas, craft workshops, storytelling, treasure hunt, pony rides and petting zoo).• At the Rue du Lion d'Or: Canadian quarter with a toboggan run, bar and theme shop.• At Portes-St-François: a new two-storey festive and gastronomic area.• At the Terrasse des Amis (on Place Bel-Air): Belvedere of the “Mondial de Fondue”.• On the Place des Pionnières: giant fir tree merry-go-round and “Marché des Papilles”, the beating heart of the Bô Noël gastronomic experience, with food stalls and specialities from all over the world.• Under the Grand-Pont: “Coeurnotzet”, Bô Noël's signature restaurant, and "Boutique des créateur·trices", a designer boutique showcasing the talents of over 40 designers of the region.• On the Place Pépinet: “Marché des Artisans” for shopping enthusiasts (with jewellery, accessories, lighting, etc.) and food stalls for a tasty break.• On the Place Saint-François: “Grand Marché de Saint-François” with a new two-storey structure showcasing Vaudois specialities and an 11-metre Christmas Tower with a raclette bar and seafood stand.• In the Flon district: festive, friendly entertainment organised by district shopkeepers and restaurateurs, and a large and decorated Christmas tree to enhance the warm, magical atmosphere that is the magic of Bô Noël.The Secret Room by Royal Savoy, a temporary hotel room nestled in the garden of the Musée Historique de Lausanne, is one of the original offerings, with a new feature this year being a wood-fired sauna on the terrace.
