Intro
The Swiss juicing and fermentation museum (Schweizer Mosterei- und Brennereimuseum) is found on Lake Constance in the canton of Thurgau, which is famous for its apples. The museum, spread over more than 1,000 square metres, portrays the journey from the orchard all the way to the bottle, providing an insight into a fruity past.
Mosterei Möhl in Arbon has been turning apples into juice, and fruit juice into cider, since 1895. The new on-site museum exhibits old presses, fruit mills and laboratory equipment. The history of the Möhl family and their business is also part of the exhibition. Interactive stations help visitors understand the development of fruit processing and also provide a glimpse into the future. Films about fruit growers, beverage technologists, coopers, beekeepers and liquor distillers show the different types of professions that make up a cider distillery. What is more, there are all manner of delicious drinks to sample.
Fruit garden
There is always something happening in the new fruit garden: enjoy your Möhl juice in peace and quiet while your children have fun on the apple slide or chat on the tube phone. Are you looking to challenge your friends in a round of table tennis? Then you will find everything for your personal tournament on our garden terrace.
