Overview
High above the glacier The Jungfrau-Aletsch region has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. 20 kilometers of ice stretch from the Jungfrau down into the Valais, making the Aletsch Glacier one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the Alps. On a trekking tour with a mountain guide, you can experience the glacier up close. But this hiking tour is not just about the glacier. You hike over suspension bridges, visit the protected Aletsch Forest and spend the night in mountain inns in the heart of the Valais mountains.
