Ikan Hyu: A rock duo that breaks the mold. IKAN HYU’s explosive live shows have taken the European music scene by storm. The way the duo manages to convey the energy of a “full band” all on their own is as unique as the sound they create: glitchy, powerful, magnificent, free, deep, and unpredictable. Each of the two singers plays up to three instruments at the same time: Hannah uses acoustic and electronic drum elements, a Kaossilator, and a synth bass, while Anisa uses a drum pad and a hybrid electric guitar/keyboard that she designed herself, allowing her to play guitar and bass at the same time. On top of that, they both sing, either taking turns or in unison. Complemented by illustrations, merchandise, lighting effects, and stage outfits—all homemade—the duo creates a world of its own. All you fish in the sea, run for your lives, because here she comes: IKAN HYU. Monte MaiMonte Mai is a Swiss-Caribbean psychedelic avant-pop trio consisting of Fabio Besomi, Fabio Pinto, and Anaïs Schmidt. Their sound is the result of a unique fusion of Swiss precision and tropical energy. A balanced blend of expansive melodies, ethereal vocals, and electronic rhythms, harmoniously fused together. Their music strikes listeners with its intense emotion and its ability to brilliantly marry the cold electronic precision of machines with the innate beauty of human sensitivity. The composition and production are incredibly meticulous and wonderfully unpredictable, oscillating between minimalist soundscapes and denser, more saturated ones, with disarming originality and fluidity. A retro-inspired journey through alternative pop and live-performed electronic music, driven by a strong desire to explore uncharted musical paths.
