Intro
The moving workshop at the Kunst Museum Winterthur promises a personal and surprising experience with works of art.

Get involved with works of art in motion. Moving Art invites you to look at paintings, sculptures or installations with full attention and to explore your personal perceptions in motion.
Moving to art
During the two hours of the workshop, you will have time to experience three to four works of art in the flesh. To warm up, we walk through the exhibition rooms with headphones and music and then you choose a first work of art that appeals to you.
In front of "your" painting or sculpture, you will be given suggestions on how you can reflect shapes, lines, structures, colors, details and themes in movement, react to them and follow your intuition or emotion.
In a concluding discussion, you can share your experiences with the artworks that "moved" you with the other participants in words or movements.
Moving Art is based on the methods of dance pioneer Anna Halprin and is designed as a workshop for adults. No previous knowledge of dance is required, but you do need to enjoy movement.
