Peter Leisinger, als Holzbildhauer bekannt, zeigt Bilder in verschiedenen Techniken. Farbige und stimmungsvolle Arbeiten geben Einblick in eine weitere Seite seines Schaffens.

Peter Leisinger malt im Alten Bad Pfäfers.

Seit frühester Kindheit zeichnet und malt Peter Leisinger beinahe täglich. Der Künstler aus Malans ist weit über die Region hinaus vor allem als markanter Holzbildhauer bekannt. Seine Figuren und Skulpturen prägen seit Jahren Ausstellungen und öffentliche Räume. Nun zeigt er im Altes Bad Pfäfers eine andere, ebenso eindrucksvolle Seite seines Schaffens: Bilder in verschiedenen Techniken.

Die ausgestellten Werke leben von intensiver Farbigkeit und feinen Stimmungen. Sie lassen erkennen, wie eng Zeichnung, Malerei und plastisches Arbeiten im Schaffen Peter Leisingers miteinander verbunden sind. Der Künstler sagt dazu: «Ich übersetze oft meine Skizzen in dreidimensionale Skulpturen. Diese wiederum beeinflussen meine Zeichnungen.» So schliesst sich der Kreis zwischen Fläche und Form.
