The ‘St. Stephan’ choir will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2026. In 1901, the former men’s choir in the parish of Leuk-Stadt was transformed into a mixed church choir for the first time. It was no easy feat, however… And 100 years ago, there was even a strike by the church choir in Leuk-Stadt that lasted several years – which is probably unique in history… The “St. Stephan” choir will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2026.
