Afternoon Tea in der Osteria a tavola
Overview
Intro
Enjoy homemade scones, sandwiches, and sweets—served in the classic style on a tiered tray. Along the way, you’ll learn how to brew the perfect cup of tea and discover the history behind the tea tradition.
A taste of British tea culture is coming to our Osteria.
Our British host, Julie Hawkins, takes us on a journey into the world of British tea drinking.
Enjoy homemade scones with clotted cream and jam, sandwiches, and pastries. Freshly brewed tea will be served alongside these treats—and with Julie, we’ve practically got the perfect neighbor on board. She’s lived within walking distance of our Osteria for years, is deeply rooted in the community here, and brings a rich slice of British culture with her. She’ll reveal what lies behind the tradition, how to make the perfect cup of tea, and why black tea isn’t necessarily the drink of choice. And who knows—maybe there’ll even be a touch of poetry to round things off. It would certainly be very British.
