Concert Aperitif

Partnership with Schloss Waldegg (Solothurn)
Since 2002, the partnership between Château de Waldegg and Château Mercier has served as a unique cultural bridge between German-speaking Switzerland and Valais. Both institutions share a similar mission: transforming historic aristocratic residences into dynamic, accessible hubs for gathering and engagement. In Mercier—a *Heimatstil* manor—Waldegg, a Baroque gem from Solothurn, finds an ideal partner for extending its reach beyond its own borders. This alliance is rooted in a shared commitment to bringing historical heritage to life through artistic exchanges, notably reciprocal "aperitif concerts." Each year, musicians and musical works travel between Solothurn and Sierre, allowing audiences in each region to discover the cultural richness of the other.
