On the occasion of the 2026 European Heritage Days, this year dedicated to the theme "In Danger?", the Monte San Giorgio Fossil Museum opens its doors with a special program for adults and children.
On the occasion of the 2026 European Heritage Days, this year dedicated to the theme "In Danger?", the Monte San Giorgio Fossil Museum opens its doors with a special program for adults and children.
Admission to the museum and activities is free.
Regular short guided tours are scheduled throughout the weekend, as well as educational activities for children and families.
This year's theme will be an opportunity to experience firsthand the delicate work that goes into preparing and preserving fossils: a journey that begins in the rock and ends at the Museum.
On Saturday, September 12th, it will be possible to observe a paleontologist at work in the Museum's preparation laboratory.
Reservations for guided tours must be made on the day at the Museum reception.
