At the Tinguely Museum, discover fascinating works of art ranging from the Baroque period to the present day that challenge our perception through light, color, movement, and optical illusions.

How do we perceive our environment, and how can our sense of sight be deceived? The group exhibition “Les témoins oculistes: The Sense of Sight in Art” at the Museum Tinguely explores the fascinating world of vision.

Featuring works of art from the Baroque period to the present, the exhibition shows how artists experiment with light, darkness, color, movement, and space. Different media, optical illusions, reflections, and distortions open up surprising perspectives and challenge our usual perceptions.

The exhibition is part of the Museum Tinguely’s series on the human senses and invites visitors to rediscover their own visual perception.
